The site has opted to support both dial-up and DSL connection for every video download and the lowest resolution is as small as 2 MB per scene. Every download page also has a link to the still images of the movie for the members’ ultimate comfort. Expect each downloadable scene to be at least 20 MB.

The site is very well designed. It would take a total technical moron to get lost at Club Jenna. Every link you need is on the lefthand side of the page. To view the videos your browser has to open another window but once you start the clip, everything goes on smoothly. Unlike content on other sites, each Club Jenna scene will hook you from beginning to end. My only complaint is that among the twenty two movies they didn’t include more than a couple feature type films with a plot. Aside from that, viewing Jenna’s videos was heavenly. Also in this area is the claim that the content is updated weekly. However, at the time I reviewed the site, only about a third of the videos were available for viewing with Windows Media. Once on the inside, your choices are “Archives” and “Forum.” The “Forum” does as promised and takes you to an active forum where you can discuss porn, in all its’ many variations, with other site members.

By clicking on the video of your choice, you’re taken to a page that offers you the video in its’ entirety, using either Windows Media or QuickTime, or you can opt for sections of the video by clicking on about 6-8 photos taken from it. I had very high hopes for this site. It makes so many promises, beginning with the domain name Pornstar. After years of surfing and signing up to porn sites, wouldn’t it be great to finally get to know the shining stars of adult entertainment?

I am happy to report that Pornstar lives up to its name. But before you dump any of your existing memberships to other paysites, some clarification is in order. Pornstar, for all intents and purposes, is a portal for pornstars. It doesn’t just feature the huge stars like Jenna Jameson and Tera Patrick, but all the hot and ubiquitous babes that grace the hottest porn videos in your local video stores and all the hottest reality sites on the Web. There are hundreds of them here, with every letter of the alphabet represented.

There are three indexing method used by Pornstar to group their contents: by category, through alphabetical listing, and by studio. Grouping the video and pic content by category is impractical because there is not enough video content to begin with, just one or two scenes for every star (that’s why I warned you not to discontinue your other memberships). Navigating content through studio listings is better and actually adds some thrill to your search, but the most practical of the three navigationg methods by far is the alphabetical. For category searching, you can sift through the galleries by hardcore, solo, and girl on girl. There is a lot of picture content to speak of but again, not many videos at all.

The best way to enjoy Pornstar is through the members home page and the link to Pornstar. At the Pornstar page, the alphabetical listing is used along with thumbnail photos. It’s simply overwhelming. Clicking on a pornstar’s thumbnail will send you to her bio page and more thumbnail links to her gallery. As I said, you will get at least one movie scene from each star, but not many more.

The movies download or stream in Windows Media Player. Streaming the video will give you two options: 300 kbps and 300 kbps safe mode. If you want to view the Interview section you get the added viewing options of 56 kbps and 56 kbps safe mode. You get even more streaming options in the Behind the Scenes section. Downloading the entire scene, you will have to tackle 350 MB of video, and that amounts to at least 2 hours downloading.

Pornstar is a great way to get to know your favorite stars and new ones, too. Don’t expect the hardcore videos themselves to take center stage.
